THE DVSA TESTS
THE DVSA TESTS
There are 3 DVSA tests that form the qualification of DVSA ADI (Driver & Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor).
Below is a brief overview of each step of the process and a link to more detail for each test…
PART 1 - THEORY AND HAZARD PERCEPTION TEST
The Theory and Hazard Perception Test is similar to the test that a learner driver takes.
However, as you are an experienced driver, you will be expected to have a greater understanding and knowledge and are tested to a higher standard.

PART 2 - THEORY AND HAZARD PERCEPTION TEST
The Test of Driving Ability is similar to the driving test that you have already passed.
Once again as you are an experienced driver, you will be expected to have a greater understanding and knowledge.
PART 3 - TEST OF INSTRUCTIONAL ABILITY
The Test of Instructional Ability assesses your teaching skills.
Now that you are an expert at driving, you will be asked to demonstrate that you can teach a learner driver and fix any faults in their driving.
